OmniPoll fills the void created by the closure of the company trading as Newspoll.

Three leaders of the Newspoll business conceived OmniPoll to keep asking the right questions to the right people in the right manner.

Former Newspoll clients will be able to access their past results through OmniPoll.

OmniPoll clients will enjoy the care and attention to detail that correctly predicted 60 state and federal election outcomes between 1985 and 2015.

Martin O'Shannessy

Martin is a 30 year research veteran and one of Australia’s most respected and well known pollsters. Martin has experience in human resources, working as a political advisor, advertising research, marketing, and market and social research. He has maintained a perfect record in voting intention polling; had extensive interaction with senior journalists and makes regular appearances on news and current affairs programmes.
Martin’s clients enjoy the credibility and familiarity he has established with all levels of government through published polling and private research for lobbying.

As Newspoll CEO, he was for ten years Australia’s highest profile opinion pollster. He has a 100% record estimating state and federal election outcomes at Newspoll and previously at IRIS Research, and has surveyed over 2 million Australians.

In the last 30 years, he has advised Australian firms, associations and governments in many studies for Newspoll and IRIS Research. His management background also includes many years of corporate affairs experience in both supportive and hostile media environments. This includes as a staffer for a member of NSW state Parliament 1984-1988, as Manager Research and Regulatory Affairs at AANA 1988-1994, CEO IRIS Research and Newspoll 1994- 2015 and Chairman of Research Industry employer body AMSRO.

John Davis

B.Ec (Economic Statistics and Operations Research) University of Sydney
John is regarded as an expert in quantitative measurement particularly projects where precision measurement or complex sample design is required. John has over 35 years’ experience in research across both supplier and client side roles, including over 10 years with Newspoll prior to forming OmniPoll.

He has consulted to a variety of private & public sector organisations, embracing a wide range of research areas, including community attitude research, market segmentation studies, customer satisfaction, advertising tracking, public opinion polling, media research, new product development and usage & attitude studies.
John has worked with a diverse range of public sector organisations and educational institutions on an equally diverse range of market and social research issues.

Frederic Anne

Frederic is a multidisciplinary problem solver, with experience of turning insights into action.
Frederic is expert in all aspects of quantitative and qualitative research with very strong domain expertise in his main experience areas of sports, leisure, tourism, telecommunications and service industries.
Frederic has over 25 years of experience in market research covering Australia and Europe, both client side and agency side. Prior to starting OmniPoll, he was a director at Newspoll, and between March 2008 and March 2012, the director of Market Insights at Telstra. Before this he held several head of research positions within Vodafone and the Walt Disney Company. On the agency side, he started his career at TNS.
