“Trust is essential to taking the community with us as the digital economy continues to grow and play a major part in our lives…. and will not occur without privacy as the foundation.
‘If the right foundations are in place, organisations will have the ability to increase the focus on those issues that are unique to them and make privacy part of their competitive advantage – and the community will respond.”
With the OAIC reporting that people are losing trust in organisations protecting their data and that 70% of Australians now see the protection of personal information as a major concern, the issue of privacy has become even more critical to all Australians.
Working under Australia’s only industry APP Privacy Code (registered by the OAIC), ADIA members mitigate risk for clients daily and provide their organisation with greater protection and guidance. Working under the Code, however, also brings responsibility.
To help ensure your data security measures remain embedded in your organisational culture and business practices, ADIA presents – Privacy, The Foundation of Trust – for all members on Tuesday, May 3 at 12noon.
Join ADIA Quality Consultant Norine Cruse as she guides members’ through ADIA Academy’s training resources and explores the value of maintaining credibility and integrity through establishing a solid framework of privacy and data security measures.
